CKO tenant wins—and gearing up for more
We have been organizing in a portfolio of 30 buildings. Two broken-down buildings need to be vacated. Households there have now won $2500 each in relocation support. More buildings may need to be foreclosed upon or vacated.
No CBA? No hotel!
Join us Tuesday, 4-29 at 9am at 6430 S Stony Island for a press conference and rally to let the Mayor, City Council and luxury developers know that we need a CBA to protect against displacement BEFORE major developments happen in the neighborhood.
We’re hiring an operations associate. Apply or share!
[Update: we’ve filled this position.] The full-time associate will support office-space management, fundraising, events, IT, and data. Apply by March 9 for preferred consideration.

Donate to Christiana & her evicted family
9/21 update: We’re working to raise $2000 for storage for Christiana’s and her tenants’ belongings, and for moving trucks used the day they were evicted. Can you help here? They’re so grateful for all your support.
Petition and occupation to stop Christiana’s eviction
US Bank illegally foreclosed on Ms. Powell after it changed her family’s mortgage from FHA to conventional, ballooning payments from $800 to $3,500 a month. Donate, show up at the encampment at Christiana’s (the sheriff could come any day), sign this petition, and call officials.
